Celebrate Cinco De Mayo 2018 in Metro Vancouver with These Cheap Eats and Drinks

Burrito bowl

Cinco De Mayo is happening tomorrow, Saturday May 5th.  To celebrate, we’ve found restaurants in Metro Vancouver that are offering great specials tomorrow on Mexican food and drinks.

Mucho Burrito

One of my favourite places to eat is offering some great food specials tomorrow, May 5.  For $5, you can build your own small or regular burrito or bowl.  For an extra $1, you can upgrade to one of their signature bowls or burritos.  For more information, visit the Mucho Burrito website.

Las Margaritas

Las Margaritas offers delicious food and a great atmosphere.  On Saturday, they will be offering 3 for $15 taco specials and a bucket of Coronas for $27.  They’ll also have live music and giveaways.  For more information, visit the Las Margaritas Facebook page.

The Compound

The Compound is one of Vancouver’s newest downtown casual restaurant and bar.  To celebrate Cinco De Mayo, they’re offering shots of Tequila for $3 and Margaritas for $4.  For more information, visit The Compound Instagram page.

Tacofino

Tacofino offers amazing food and I have to say it’s another one of my favourite restaurants.  Tomorrow, they will be offering $8 margaritas at all of their Vancouver locations.  At Tacofino in Gastown, there will be live entertainment from 12 pm-1 pm and 8:30 pm-9:30 pm provided by Las Estrellas de Vancouver.  For more information, visit the Tacofino Facebook page.

Little Donkey Food & Drink

Little Donkey Food & Drink is a great restaurant in Fort Langley that offers ingredients that are fresh, locally sourced and wholesome.  To Celebrate Cinco De Mayo, they’ll be offering $5 Bebidas, Little Donkey’s twist on a caesar.  For more information, visit the Little Donkey Food & Drink Facebook page.

La Taqueria

La Taqueria makes their tacos and burritos from traditional recipes with local, organic and sustainable products, when possible.  Tomorrow, they’ll be offering a taco baja and pint of beer (11 OZ) for $9
and a taco baja and margarita (1 OZ) for $12 at all of their locations, except North Vancouver.  There will also be live music all day at their Hornby location.  For more information, visit the La Taqueria Facebook page.

Cheap Eats: Free and Inexpensive Food and Drinks on Halloween Day 2017 in Vancouver

doughnut

Halloween is here.  It brings spooky times, jack o’lanterns, and trick or treating.  And for those of us that don’t trick or treat anymore, I’ve found some great cheap and free eats for Halloween.  This Halloween, you can celebrate with a free tea, a free doughnut, $1.50 scoops of ice cream, and $3 burritos.  The four offers come from Krispy Kreme, DAVIDsTEA, Chipotle, and Baskin Robbins.  Be sure to read on for all the details about these offers.

Today, October 31, you can get a free doughnut at Krispy Kreme Doughnuts simply by showing up in your Halloween costume at a participating Krispy Kreme location in Canada and the United States.  You’ll get one delicious free doughnut of your choice during store hours while supplies last.  The nearest Krispy Kreme location in Vancouver is in Delta, but it’s definitely worth the drive for these delicious doughnuts.

You can also snag a free tea today.  DAVIDsTEA will be giving away a free tea of the day when you wear your costume to the store on October 31.  They’ll have three tea’s on tap for the tea of the day, including, magic potion, organic stormy night, and pumpkin chai.  There are lots of DAVIDsTEA locations throughout Metro Vancouver, so you should be able to find one close by.

Another great offer is from Chipotle, where you can grab a $3 burrito.  All you have to do is show up in your costume from 3 pm to close and you can buy a $3 burrito, bowl, salad, or order of tacos.  You’re limited to one per customer and there may be additional taxes, but I’d say that’s one great deal.  To find a location near you, visit the Chipotle website.

Baskin-Robbins is another place that will be offering a sweet treat at a great price.  Today, during store hours, you can get scoops of ice cream for $1.50 on all ice cream flavours.  Waffle cones and toppings are at an additional cost though.  The offer is valid at participating stores, and this is one where you don’t have to show up in costume as it’s a tribute to their original 31 flavours every 31st day of the month, which happens seven times a year.  To find a location near you, visit the Baskin-Robbins website.

That sums up these four great offers on one awesome day, Halloween.  Be sure to visit the stores website for more information, complete details and participating locations.  Happy Halloween!
