A blast from the past is coming this summer to Metro Vancouver. A free drive-in movie theatre will be in Richmond for July and August.
Every Wednesday from July 6 – August 31, you can enjoy free movies from the comfort of your own car. The Starlight Theatre Drive-In Movie Series will hold 200 cars each night and will also offer front row seating for pedestrians. Parking and seating is on a first come, first served basis. If you end up being too early though, Lansdowne Centre restaurants will be offering drink and dinner specials.
The movies will begin at sunset on a huge screen. Each night they’ll feature different movie genres from kid movies to big kid movies. Audio for the movie will be broadcasted over FM radio. This will make the experience more true to olden days! So pick out a day and/or a movie to go to, because this is a once in a lifetime experience!
