It’s the season to travel back in time! Vancouver is bringing the 1950’s era back in style. An era that brought you poodle skirts, cat eye glasses, and milkshakes! Now you can live a part of that era by enjoying a movie at a drive-in theatre!
Lansdowne Centre and Fresh Air Cinema are hosting a drive-in and outdoor movie series this summer. Every Wednesday from July 8 – July 22, you can enjoy free outdoor movies at Lansdowne Centre in Richmond. Simply bring your car or bring a lawn chair and you can join hundreds of others in this fun-filled activity!
To re-create more 50’s history, Fresh Slice Pizza will be on hand to take orders before the movie and deliver it right to your car! If that doesn’t tickle your fancy, there will be lots of dinner and drink specials at Lansdowne Centre restaurants. The restaurants include: Earl’s Restaurant, Toku Japanese, Mongolian Hot Pot, Tropika Restaurant, No.9 Restaurant, and Kyung Bok Korean Restaurant.
Be sure to be early as space is limited to 200 cars. If you’re travelling by foot though, you’ll have front-row seating! Also, make sure to join the BC Fresh Air Cinema Facebook page to stay up to date as movies will be rescheduled in the event of rain or high winds.
