Longer days and warmer weather is upon us and it’s here to stay for a few months!  This means that summertime fun starts now!  What better way to celebrate summer?  Night markets!  It’s Metro Vancouver’s summer tradition!

Night Markets are a once-in-a-lifetime experience!  It’s a place where you can catch live entertainment and shop for unique and fun merchandise.  Most importantly though, go hungry, because there are lots of delicious mouth-watering foods from a wide variety of vendors.  Each and every night market differs from the next, so make sure to check them all out!

Night Market Food

1. Shipyards Night Market – The Shipyards Night Market believes in local lifestyles, showcasing BC artisans, bakers, farmers, and talent.  While there, you can enjoy live music, delicious food, entertainment, art, and shopping!  At the market, you can shop for products such as, jewelry, clothing, kids wear, bakers, produce, preserves, soaps, organic meats, honey, plants, chocolates, and much more!  The market also has a beer garden (must be 19+) that features local craft beer, ciders, wines, and organic Betty’s Vodka Iced Tea.  Click here for more info.

When: Fridays 5 pm-10 pm – May 1 – September 25

2. Surrey Night Market – Enjoy performances by local bands, singers and dancers, sample a wide variety of foods, and shop!  The market will also have numerous rides and games for children and youth.  The market will have free parking.  Click here for more info.

Where: 17726 62 Avenue, Surrey, BC at Cloverdale Exhibition Grounds

Price: $2 for Adults.  Free Admission for: families of all Canadian Forces personnel and Veterans living in BC; children less than 48″ in height when accompanied by their families; wheelchair borne persons, and seniors over 75 years.

When: Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays 6 pm-11 pm – May 29 – September 20

3. Richmond Night Market – At the market you can sample delicious food from food trucks, play carnival games, enjoy nightly entertainment performances, and shop for merchandise from a variety of vendors!  Pick up a “Sweet Deals Coupon Book” at the entrance or at the info booth area for coupons offering over $250 in savings!  Click here for more info.

Price: $2.75 for Regular Admission.  Free Admission for Children 10 & under and Seniors 60 & up.

When: Friday & Saturday 7 pm-12 am, Sunday & Stat Holidays 7 pm-11 pm – May 15 – October 12

4. International Summer Night Market – Named one of the top 4 night markets in the world by Travel & Leisure Magazine.  The market has lots of merchandise booths, food and beverage vendors, the Kids Zone, and exciting entertainment every night!  Free street parking, free shuttles from Bridgeport Station, and free Wi-Fi! Click here for more info.

Price: Free Admission

When: Fridays & Saturdays 6 pm-11 pm, Sundays 6 pm-10 pm – May 8 – September 27

5. Plaza of Nations Saturday Market – Enjoy your favourite local food trucks and dance to great local music!  Enjoy your favourite Vancouver craft beer, wine, and ciders at the outdoor beer garden (must be 19+) inside the market!  Click here for more info.
