Easter eggs

Easter is here and this week there are lots of eggciting events to celebrate in Vancouver and all over the Lower Mainland.  These special events start on Wednesday, April 1 and go until Monday, April 6.  All events vary from egg hunts to pancake breakfasts to petting zoo’s, so be sure to check the whole list out!  Below is a list of all of the events you can hop to!  Share any events and activities I may have forgotten, below in the comments!  Don’t forget to subscribe to my blog by e-mail or RSS feed!

Please note: Age restrictions may apply and some events may require pre-registration.  Make sure to check the website for updated info, as events may sell out.

1. Stanley Park Easter Train – You can ride the Easter train, visit the Easter Bunny, go on an Easter egg hunt, participate in games and craft workshops, and get your face painted.  Click here for more details.

Where: Pipeline Rd., Vancouver, BC at Stanley Park.  Click here for directions.

Price: Adult (accompanying child) – $3.50, Child (17 and under) – $8.75 (taxes included). Face painting costs extra.

When: Wednesday, April 1 – Monday, April 6 10am-5pm (last train at 5pm and last egg hunt at 4:30pm).

2. Hippity Hop Easter Event (Vancouver) –  Ages up to 5 can go on an egg hunt, play games, and enjoy other fun stations.  Pre-registration is required.  Click here to register.

Where: 1 Athletes Way, Vancouver, BC at Creekside Community Recreation Centre.

Price: $3

When: Thursday, April 2 5pm-7pm

3. Potter’s Bunnies (Surrey) – Explore the timeless world of Beatrix Potter and her bunnies.  There will be stories, crafts, and songs about bunnies and their friends.  Click here for more info.

When: Thursday, April 2 10:30am-11:30am

4. Easter Egg Hunt & Carnival at Killarney Community Centre – Children ages 2-12 can meet the Easter bunny, hunt for eggs, jump in a bouncy castle, participate in arts & crafts, have their face painted, and so much more!  Adult must accompany children 2-4 yrs.  You must register.  Click here for more info.

Price: Free

When: Friday, April 3 9:30am-10:30am, 10:45am-11:45am, and 12pm-1pm.

5. Easter at the Cannery (Richmond) – The Cannery will have an Easter salmon hunt, crafts, games, and activities for the little ones!  Click here for more info.

Where: 12138 4th Avenue, Richmond, BC at the Gulf of Georgia Cannery.

Price:  All admission prices are including tax.  Adults – $7.80, Seniors (65+) – $6.55, Kids & Youth (2-16 yrs) – $3.90.

When: Friday, April 3 – Sunday, April 5 10am-5pm

6. Easter at Bear Creek Park –  Take the train through the forest, hunt for eggs, meet the Easter bunny, participate in crafts and other fun Easter activities!  Click here for more info.

Price: Adults – $6 plus tax, Children – $9 plus tax.

7. Easter on the Farm (Langley) –  Visit the farm animals and the petting zoo, and take a tractor-pulled hay ride.  Click here for more info.

When: Friday, April 3 – Monday, April 6 10am-4pm

8. Breakfast with Bunny at Kensington Community Centre –  There will be a pancake breakfast, arts & crafts, entertainment, and a chance to meet the Easter bunny.  Register in person or by phone at 604-718-6228.  Click here for more info.

Price: KCAA members pay: Family (up to 2 adults and 2 children) – $10, Adult – $5, Children (4-18) – $2, Children 3 and under – free.  Non-members, add $1 each.

9. Easter Egg Hunt at Roundhouse Community Centre –  Egg hunt, arts & crafts, candy, and a visit from the Easter bunny.  Parents supervision is required for 1-3yrs.  Ticket purchase is required in advance.  Click here for to register.

Price: $5

When: Saturday, April 4 9:30am-10:45am (1-3yrs), 11:15am-12:30pm (1-6yrs), and 1pm-2:15pm (4-9yrs).

10. Easter Eggstravaganza (False Creek) –  Continental brunch, games, crafts, Easter egg hunt, and more entertainment!  Event is for 2-8yrs and children must be accompanied by an adult.  Must register in person or by phone.  Click here for more info.

11. Easter Family Fun at Hillcrest (Vancouver) – Hunt for eggs, take home a treat bag, participate in games and activities, and make crafts!  This event is for children ages up to 11 yrs.  Click here to register.

12. Easter Eggstravaganza (Kitsilano) –  Children 1-8yrs can meet the Easter bunny, participate in crafts and games, have their face painted, decorate cookies, and much more!  Parent participation required at no cost.  Must pre-register.  To register, click here.

13. ECO-Easter Egg Hunt! (Coquitlam) – Search for Easter eggs and discover egg-laying species at the park!  Bring a basket!  Click here for more info.

14. Very Victorian Easter (Surrey) –  Children 4-8yrs can hunt for eggs, dye eggs, play games, and make crafts.  Must pre-register.  Click here for more info.

17. Easter Eggstravaganza at South Arm Community Centre –  Meet the Easter bunny, search for eggs, participate in crafts and games.  Pre-registration required.  Click here for more info.

18. Great A-Mazing Egg Hunt at Van Dusen Botanical Garden – Meet the Easter bunny, search for eggs in the garden, decorate a clay pot, plant carrots to take home, and interact with animals at the CinemaZoo exhibit.  Event held rain or shine.  Tickets must be purchased in advance.  Click here for more info and to purchase tickets.

Price: $15 for one child and one to two parents or guardians.

19. Easter in Queen’s Park –  Take your photo with the Easter bunny (suggested donation of $2), visit the petting farm, make crafts, watch performances, and other fun Easter activities.  Click here for more info.

20. Easter Scavenger Hunt and Egg Scramble at Fort Langley National Historic Site – An all-ages Easter scavenger hunt, which includes fun activities that will take you exploring around the fort and earning chocolates!  There will also be an egg scramble activity for kids 5 & under at 11am, 1pm, and 3pm.  Click here for more info.

21. Easter Extravaganza Event at Port Moody Station Museum –  Hunt for Easter eggs, watch performances by a magician and musicians, and other fun Easter activities!  Click here for more info.

Price: $5 per person *cash only*.  Proceeds going to Port Moody Heritage Society.

22. Easter at Maplewood Farm –  Easter egg hunt starts at 10am!  See the farm animals, participate in crafts, have your face painted, and ride a pony!  Click here for more info.

23. Bunny Breakfast at Confederation Community Centre –  Enjoy a pancake breakfast for Easter!  Registration is required and children must be accompanied by a grandparent.  Click here for more info.
